The Kerala Chapter of the National Safety Council-NSC was set in March 1970 for the purpose of carrying out NSC’s objectives and activities, particularly in the local language. It is one of the 17 Chapters of NSC with an administrative office at Irumpanam, Kochi, Kerala. The Council members from the State of Kerala are attached as the members of the Kerala Chapter and NSC serves them. The Chapter’s jurisdiction is limited to the State of Kerala, Therefore, it provides services and undertakes activities within the State with participation from the Kerala State only. These are in addition to the services/activities provided by NSC. The Executive Committee of the Chapter controls the management and affairs of the Chapter, The Director-General or his nominee is an Ex-officio member of the Executive Committee.
